About Bill
I am just a guy who has been on television in this area for over 25 years. That could mean I must be getting old or experienced, probably both. I currently broadcast the morning weather on NBC-17 during the week. I have also worked at WLFL in Raleigh and WTVD in Durham. North Carolina is a great place to live and raise a family.

Where have you been? I get up at 4:50 in the morning for my job as an OR nurse. I always rely on you for the weather report. Peter is OK, but he sure isn’t you. When are you coming back? I miss you.
I got to take a two week summer vacation. Thanks for your kind words, but I am back now. I half to pay all those travel bills off.
Bill, you are truly appreciated. Because of prior “bad acts” (my opinion) by NBC 17, I get nervous when you are not at your post for the morning weather. I wish your stand in would announce that you are enjoying time with your family and will be returning soon!
As a side, was Joe Novak, head football coach, at Northern Ill. when you were there. How about Jerry Ippoliti, AD?
Thanks for the kind comments, I can’t remember who was coach when I was there, but Joe was long after my time!
Hey Bill, I am a first time poster here. I remember first seeing you 17 years ago on ABC 11, back when they had the excellent lineup of Larry, Miriam, yourself and Drew. I have always wanted to say thank you for always doing an consistenly great job and in my opinion, you are the best weatherman in this state by a country mile. Thank you for reading this and thank you for always having and maintaining a high standard of excellence.
Your Shrimp and Grits were outstanding at the Cooks for Books event last night! Thanks for participating and yes… I saw that you won…. well deserved!
I wish I could take credit for the taste of the shrimp and grits, all I can say is I stirred the grits a bit! Chef Dave was awesome.
Hi Friend, I am writing from Canberra, Australia. Thanks for the thoughtful content. It helped me a lot with my university cooking research
