Baseball season starts
College basketball is over and now baseball gets geared up. If you don’t countJapangames the major league season starts up today and tomorrow. It’s a long season, by the time the playoffs start, football will be going into their second month of games.
Baseball is a game that always takes me back to my childhood. All we needed was our glove, a ball, a bat and an open area. I used to play with just a couple other friends. We had imaginary players and a lot of fun. I wonder how often in our fast paced and organized activities world children play like we did?
So, when I see the first pitch of the season this year; my thoughts will drift back to a field in my old neighborhood that was home to some great pretend baseball games. Speaking of pretend, this could be the year? Go Cubs!
