Top Selling Recession Food
As I was biting the tail off my Easter chocolate bunny, I read about things that are selling during more during our recession. And guess what, chocolate is right up there. Everyone needs a little comfort food when times aren’t as comfortable. I don’t think I have found myself buying anything different over the last year or so. I do find myself buying more and more store brands though. The article mentioned more Spam (yuck) and macaroni and cheese sales (yum) also.
Even though I bought the actual plants, the article mentions that there has been an in increase in seed sales also. Makes sense, make a garden, do the work yourself and save some cash.
Back to chocolate, now that my bunny pretty much is gone, what’s the next holiday that includes candy? Mmmm, I am not waiting for Halloween. I could look for some patriotic chocolate for the Fourth Of July; or wait a minute, I know, instead of a tie, how about some chocolate golf balls for Father’s Day?!
