Sawed Off Entertainment Center
Yesterday, after unscrewing every possible screw from our entertainment center, I finally decided it was time to saw. I have over 40 screws on a side table to prove it. My best discovery was unscrewing the back, so no cut was needed there.
Our entertainment center became out-dated last week when we bought a wide-screen television that wouldn’t fit in the television cubby. So, I went out and bought a new circular saw blade and carefully measured up from the bottom to the top of the base where the old tv used to fit. I laid the entertainment center on its side and revved the saw. Dust flew everywhere in our den, but the cut went smoothly. I flipped it over and cut the other side.
And just like that, I had a place to put our new television, well almost. The top needs some refinishing. But, that is temporarily on hold, as I have decided to wait and bask in the glory of creating something new by breaking it into two, plus about 40 or so screws.
