Roasted Peeps For Easter

You see them in the store this time of year.  Those colorful sugary confections called Peeps.  I have never been a big fan of Peeps, my daughter has always enjoyed them though.  I’ll take the chocolate bunnies for Easter; but I wondered, if there would be a better way to enjoy some Peeps.

It dawned on me that Peeps are just marshmallows covered with more sugar.  Now how do I like marshmallows?  I don’t eat them raw, but hey, I love them roasted on the grill.  I do enjoy a marshmallow that’s cooked on a stick over a fire.  So hey, for this Easter, I think I will try to stick one of my daughter’s Peeps on a stick and cook the chick over the fire.  I just might add some chocolate to it and make a S’more.  Mmmmm

You should try putting the peep in the microwave. I wonder if it will expand like other marshmellows.

We have some at work today, I will go and try it. I hope it won’t explode and spray the microwave with purple sugar. (The peep is a purple rabbit.)
