Stimulus Dining
I know that restaurants are seeing less customers during this recession, so they are trying new things to lure people in. One thing arrived in our mail over the weekend.
It is a $10 gift card for use until May. Champps calls it their “Stimulus Package.” I say, very clever, and I would love to see more. We have gotten $10 certificates sent to us from Lone Star. As a matter of fact, we used one last weekend. Our bill went from almost $30 plus tip to under $20 plus tip. It was like going out to eat back in the mid 1990s in terms of cost of food.
I don’t know if the restaurants that send these are struggling and the most desperate, I hope not. I hope it is just good business sense to get us back out eating out.
I’ll be looking for more in my mail.
