Apple Pie Topping

When I make apple pie, which I did yesterday, I only make a bottom crust.  On top I use a topping that my mom used to make when she made pies for me when I was growing up.  She gave me the recipe and it is mighty tasty.

Here it is, it’s simple.  Mix 1 stick of butter with 1/2 cup of brown sugar.  Then stir in 1 cup of flour.  This makes a crumbly mixture that you sprinkle on top of the pie.  I gently press it down to cover the apples completely.

Typing this makes me want to rush home and eat another piece.
