No Sunspots Affecting the Weather?

Just read a very interesting article about the lack of sunspots in August.  The sun goes through a sunspot cycle on average every 11 years.  But according to the article, this is the first time in 100 years that there have been no sunspots for an entire month.

In the late 1600 hundreds there were very little sunspots and we had the “little ice age”.  This is when temperatures were below normal.  Now, we are only talking one spotless month but if a pattern develops…I be able to wear my hoodie more often.

I read that all major stock market “dips” occured in low sunspot activity periods, so this october should prove interesting. The 29, 87, 97 stock dips all occured in october, in low sunspot years. Better stock up on jerky, guns, and gold :-)
