Surviving August Weather 2008
We all remember last August; 30 out of 31 days of at least 90 degree weather with about a half a dozen of those days in triple digit heat. We were also bone dry last August in terms of rain.
This August started out hot but we have had a nice break from the heat with yesterday’s high of 74, the coolest since May. I even had people come up to me and mention that it was almost too chilly in the morning, with lows of 56 Tuesday and 60 this morning! I personally love the August “chill”.
This August compared to last August just shows the variability of the weather and why I have a job. Wouldn’t need much use for me, would you, if it was always the same?
The second half of August will start above normal with highs back to around 90 this weekend into next week. Based on what last August was like; I can take 90 and even low 90s, just keep us away from mid to upper 90s or forbid the triple digits.
