Happy 1/2 New Year
Where did the first half of 2008 go? Well it is gone, and if you had some great ideas of things to do in 2008, you better get moving.
Weatherwise, the year so far has been warm. We just finished a June that average 6 degrees above normal! On a 30 day average that is a huge number. That came off our only below normal month of the year, May. All the other months this year have been above normal with February right behind June in being 5 degrees above normal. Remember January, it was a little bit above normal but it had our only snow of the year, 1/2″ on Jan. 19th.
Here is a chart from the National Weather Service.
I rejoice for a day like today in July, low humidity and a below normal high in the mid 80s. I know it will be short lived…the third week in July is normally our hottest of the year and don’t forget about last August and all those 100s. Stay cool.
