Only 3 more inches until 100.

Just a quick note from my friends in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois and how sick they are of the winter snow.  Milwaukee has had 97″ of snow this season!  More is in the forecast so it looks likely that before the season ends they will have reached the century mark.

My mind goes back to 2000 and our 22″ of snow.  Can you picture five more 20″+ snowfalls here to get to one hundred inches?  I can’t imagine how much bread and milk we would need to survive.

A sure sign of spring though, baseball starts in the U.S. next week.  How many snowed out games will there be?  We will just wait and see.

I remember that snow…the triangle waited it for melt. It took about 10 days. For alot of people (including school kids) it was alot of fun to have all the time off. For those in the TV business…it sucked! In fact, that was the turning point for me wanting to get into the adminstration part of the business instead of production/engineering.

I was working at WLFL and couldn’t get out of my driveway, the TV station said we can’t come and get you, so for the first time in my adult life I got to stay home and play in the snow.
